While navigating the diverse landscapes of Australia, the unpredictable weather can often leave travelers wondering about impending rain. RainRadarAU, previously known as BOMRadar, serves as a valuable tool for weather-conscious adventurers. By providing real-time radar images sourced from the Bureau of Meteorology, this application offers detailed insights into both the direction and intensity of rainfall in user-selected areas. This allows users to assess how soon rain might arrive and identify potential breaks in the weather.

Note: This application exclusively displays rain radar information for Australia.

 <li>Selectable radar distances of 64km, 128km, 256km, or 512km, allowing users to view both local and broader weather patterns.</li>
 <li>Wind Doppler radar on selected radars provides information on wind speed and direction.</li>

 <li>Customizable layers for each radar, including observations, topography, roads, and railways.</li>
 <li>Your current GPS location is marked on the map for easy reference.</li>
 <li>A feature to find radars closest to your location via GPS.</li>
 <li>An image cache to store frequently used backgrounds for quicker access.</li>
 <li>The ability to mark favorite radars for immediate navigation between locations or set preferred radars to load at startup.</li>
 <li>An “On Launch” option that enables quick access to the closest radar, top favorites, or the national radar upon opening the app.</li>
 <li>Automatic updates of radar information ensure users receive the latest data.</li>
 <li>High-quality retina icons and legends contribute to a polished user interface.</li>
 <li>Efficient downloading and updating of images enhances user experience.</li>
